ALBACORE TUNA ROLE with Green Onion and Ponzu (Futo Maki Style)



  • 1 half sheet of Nori

  • Sushi Rice
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 3 ounce Albacore Tuna
  • Wasabi (if desired)
  • Kaiware radish sprouts
  • Green Onion
  • Ponzu Sauce
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp orange juice



Rolling Futo Maki
Place the sheet of nori vertically on cutting board.
Moisten hands and gently spread rice with finger tips leaving a 1 1/2 inch strip at the top with no rice on it (see sushi tips)
Pile ingredients neatly parallel to the short side of the nori
Pick up the edge closest to you with thumbs and use other figertips to “tuck” the ingredients inside while rolling
Roll sushi away from you and use makisu to form
