GOAT CHEESE PANNA COTTA

We served this on 11/11/11 as one of our desserts with apple strudel. Very delicate!

Ingredients:

  • 1 envelope gelatin

  • 2 Tablespoons warm water
  • 1 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, optional
  • 8 ounces goat cheese (mild and soft)

Method:

Soften gelatin over water.  Combine buttermilk and sugar and vanilla in pan over medium heat; bring to boil and remove from heat; add softened gelatin. Cool slightly before adding cream and cheese; combine well. Place into individual glass or tin ramekins.  Cool in refrigerator away from strong flavored foods 2 hours or overnight.  Unmold onto serving plate.
