PLUM CRAZY EVERYTHING SAUCE 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Italian plums, halved, pitted, quartered
  • 1 pound plum tomatoes, split in half, seeded, quartered
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon seasalt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Method:

Combine plums and plum-tomatoes in sauce pot. Add remaining ingredients. Place over medium heat and bring to simmer for 30 minutes or until flesh of fruit is soft and moist. Remove from heat and put through a food mill, capturing all liquid and fruit. Add a few tablespoons of water to moisten enough to get more product leaving just skin and seeds in the food mill. Hold in refrigerator until need.
