POMEGRANATE CATSUP

Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts pomegranate juice

  • 2 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method:

Blend all the ingredients in a sauce pot; whisk to combine and bring to boil, reduce to simmer and cook about 30 minutes. Cool. Place in squeeze bottle for service. Store in freezer if desired, but note it will not freeze entirely due to the amount of sugar.
